In short

We collect only what we need to run your campaigns and process payments. We never sell your data, and readers never see your personal contact details.

1. Introduction

Launch Reads operates the publisher platform at launchreads.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when publishers create accounts, add books, fund campaigns, review submissions, or contact support.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account details, including name, email, company name, and phone number.
  • Publisher profile, campaign settings, book metadata, audiobook and Audible listing metadata, ACX promo-code exports, uploaded files, and support requests.
  • Billing and payment activity processed through Stripe.
  • Support requests, error reports, usage data, device data, IP address, and timestamps used to operate and protect the platform.

3. Information Sources

We receive information from publishers, their browsers and devices, public Amazon pages supplied for book imports, Stripe and other payment records, and messages sent to support. We also receive technical information from the services that operate and protect Launch Reads.

4. How We Use Information

  • Create and manage publisher accounts.
  • Import book details, host campaign tools, and verify reader submissions.
  • Process deposits, billing events, refunds, and account support.
  • Send transactional messages about your account, campaigns, and support requests.
  • Detect fraud, enforce platform rules, improve Launch Reads, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Launch Reads uses cookies and similar browser storage for sign-in, security, preferences, and basic site operation. Sentry can receive technical error and privacy-masked replay information to help us find service problems. Cloudflare Turnstile receives browser, device, and network signals when it checks public registration and waitlist forms for bots.

6. AI-Assisted Services

The signed-in publisher conversational question tool is currently paused. It does not send new questions to OpenAI. Older assistant questions may have been processed by OpenAI while that tool was active and may remain with related support records. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information in a support request.

7. Information Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate Launch Reads. Firebase provides authentication, database, and file storage. Vercel hosts the application. Stripe handles payments. Resend sends email. Sentry provides error monitoring and privacy-masked diagnostics. scrape.do imports public Amazon book metadata. Cloudflare Turnstile checks public forms for bots.

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, platform enforcement, fraud prevention, or to protect Launch Reads, our users, or the public.

8. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Retention depends on the type of record and why we need it. We keep account and campaign records while they are active, and we may keep records longer for payment, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, support, platform safety, or law.

Launch Reads deletes an audiobook review screenshot 30 days after employees approve the related review evidence. This deletion clock does not start when that evidence was not approved. Code-error proof is removed 30 days after employees make the final decision. Reports that listeners email to us, together with each connected submission record, remain in our records indefinitely. After a final staff decision, we keep working mailbox details for 90 days and then clear mailbox addresses, exact searches, provider message and resource IDs, and failed-report quarantine data. Audible identity information has no scheduled deletion date and remains stored indefinitely. Staff free-text notes are normally removed after one year. Terminal promo-code plaintext is normally removed after 30 days and replaced with a masked history value. A legal, fraud, or chargeback hold can delay these periods. We retain non-reversible uniqueness digests, final decision facts, claim safeguards, and financial or audit records where needed for fraud prevention and legal or accounting proof.

9. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You may request access, correction, or deletion through the Launch Reads contact page. We may verify your request before we act. We may keep records needed for payment, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, safety, or law.

10. Children's Privacy

Launch Reads is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated policy and change the date above. We will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
